My usual go to of Ion, well they don't make a darker green and jade is far too blue. The GDY forest mixed with a bit of black fades to a bright kelly green in four washes. So now it is winter 2021 and I want green hair for the holidays. Now this time the scent was barely there and not at all perfumy, more light and fruity. Color payoff was not as strong as I thought it would be. Fast forward a year plus later maybe two years and something possessed me to buy a tub of smokey navy to add to the blue my hair was at the time. The main issue was the scent, it was so strong and perfumy I swore I would never use it again. The color payoff was good for grey on not completely platinum hair. The first time I bought the slate grey and smokey purple. Now before I go completely praising Lunar Tides this is my third time trying it. However I have never used Arctic Fox, so I have no basis for comparison. My hair is currently colored with Lunar Tides Juniper Green and it is the best green I have seen. TLDR I'm considering switching brands from arctic fox to Lunar tides but mixed reviews have me apprehensive. Has anyone used Lunar Tides regularly and are able to tell me their thoughts? Bonus if you've used arctic fox too! Thank you in advance! However, I'm apprehensive as I've heard mixed reviews and it took me a couple of brand changes ro find something that worked well with my hair. They are exactly what I like in hair dye, at a more affordable price for me living in the UK. I spend around £40 without the price increase and coupons.ĭue to this I've looked into switching brands, particularly to Lunar Tides. Unfortunately, they have raised the prices of their bottles, making it extremely more expensive for me as I've moved out of the US to the UK, where shipping is £15, plus 16oz worth of dye. I have used them for 6 years now, and they have never failed me. When starting out it took a couple brand switches till I found one perfect for my hair, Arctic Fox. I have been dying my hair for many years at home, so I'm not new to this game. You must be an active member of the community and self-promotions are limited to once per month. Wear gloves when you wash it out, and be prepared to have a purple sink. Be careful because it stains like crazy on immediate contact. This is not only a vibrant color, but a tool to keep in your cabinet. It's great to mix with other cool toned colors (A TINY TINY DROP!) to keep your hair from yellowing. It's the perfect blue violet to cancel out the yellows in freshly bleached hair. This color is also the perfect after bleach toner if you're looking to get a lasting silver grey (once it fades). You could add a teaspoon of it to a whole bowl of conditioner and end up with hair color just as saturated as if you used it straight on. The thing about this particular pigment is that it's INSANELY potent. I've had great luck with just about all Lunar Tides hair colors but I always keep a bottle of Nightshade on hand. I actually came to this site for the sole purpose of leaving this review.
